About Us Rocky Branch Community Club, Inc., is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and promotion of its Appalachian musical heritage. Once a small schoolhouse, the Rocky Branch building became a community center in 1996 and the home for Rocky Branch Mountain Music. The venue draws visitors, tourists, musicians, and filmmakers from around the world to experience its unique local flavor. Our ever-popular Friday Night Jams start at 6:00 PM each Friday Night and last until the last person leaves. The former school building comes alive with the sound of genuine bluegrass, old-time gospel, country, Appalachian, and mountain music, as pickers, grinners, and singers from miles around gather for an evening of fun, fellowship and good times. Visiting musicians are always welcome!! Sessions are informal and limited to acoustic instruments only. Occasionally, Rocky Branch offers "plugged in" music from the stage in the old gymnasium. These events are normally held on Saturdays and are scheduled well in advance with various groups set to perform. The admission to Rocky Branch is to make a donation at the door. We rely on donations at the door to keep this place open, running, pay our monthly expenses and to keep this facility in good repair.
